My day was relatively uneventful, which is something to be grateful for these days. Work happened, with more meetings on our designated no-meetings day. Everyone was in good spirits.
After some very successfully targeted ads, I also succumbed and did some online shopping. I spent €11.90 on an online drawing course, and €70 on natural wine. I also bought some coloured markers which should arrive by Sunday, so maybe this weekend I will get to work on some new masterpieces while enjoying a glass of Pink Freud.

At some point, I thought I heard an American lady talk really loudly on the street. I ran to the window to see her, but she was nowhere to be found. Was it an illusion? Or did she manage to escape? I’m not sure why it was so exciting, even for a moment. Maybe it was the fact that it was another sign of life, beyond the church bells and the tram. Or maybe it was just that there is another person in this city that speaks English.
Since this is Easter week for me, I had some traditional Easter pastry (the famous flaouna) to celebrate our very own passions. I can confirm that things do survive in the freezer for a really long time without killing you. Freeze freely.
Speaking of frozen things, has anyone seen Melania?
In the evening, I tried to dye eggs red using a natural colouring agent (beetroot), but after two hours of boiling they ended up looking like our kitchen table: brown, and a little worn out. A friend poignantly asked: “What colour did you paint them? Egg?”
Lunch: Spaghetti al pomodoro (just pasta with tomato sauce, but it sounds a lot fancier in Italian. Also, I am clearly beginning to lose the carbs battle)
Song of the day: Aretha Franklin - (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman
